Rand De Mattei’s primary focus is to help affect the company’s growth, seeking to commercialize HSL’s humane, bird-pest management technologies, practices, and services into profitable applications and markets beyond research and conservation science. Private and governmental facilities have demonstrated the need for commercial protection services in electric distribution, waste management, dairy, other agricultural, airports, and other markets from costly avian damage.
De Mattei is a business professional with experience in marketing and executive roles in Fortune 100 companies (McGraw-Hill Publications, Chiquita Brands International) and consulting to startup ventures e.g. helping SolarAquaFarms, Sun City, CA in its successful effort to grow by finding a corporate buyer. De Mattei earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Purdue University’s Krannert School of Management, and his career expertise includes marketing management, sales, professional presentations, financial spreadsheet modeling, business plan writing, company formation, market analysis, research, branding, business development, ad creation, and all things marketing. De Mattei sits on HSL’s Executive Committee.
